A note on how this is built. Dates carry their own uncertainty. A squared end on a bar means we know the year. A soft end means we are guessing. A dotted line means historians give different answers, and the page says who reads it differently. Nothing is joined to anything unless a source supports the line between them, which is why most things here are joined to nothing at all.
